FLORENCE, S.C. – The No. 6-ranked Lander men's tennis team notched its sixth shutout in eight matches on Saturday as the Bearcats earned a 7-0 PBC win at Francis Marion.
Lander (8-0) used a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles from Guillaume Tattevin and Kim Oshiro and a 6-2 victory at No. 1 from Adam Elliget and Hugo Regner to take a 1-0 lead on the day. Tommaso Rossin and Matthew De Groot followed with a 6-4 triumph at the No. 2 spot.
In singles play, Jamieson Nathan opened with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4, followed by a 6-1, 6-2 victory from Mikael Erler on court three. Tattevin clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win at the No. 1 slot. Thomas De Negri won on court two, 6-3, 6-3, Regner battled to a 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 5 and Rossin sealed the shutout with a 6-3, 6-1 victory t the No. 6 position.
Lander steps out of conference play on Wednesday as the Bearcats travel to North Greenville for a 2:30 p.m. match.
