GREENWOOD – After finishing fifth in its last tournament, the Lander men's golf team heads to Albany, Ga., to take part in the Hurricane Invitational.

STORYLINES

• The Bearcats finished fifth at the 2021 Spring Kickoff, taking the top spot among PBC schools competing.
• Both junior Maxime Legros and sophomore Valentin Peugnet tied for ninth place, with the pair both shooting three-under-par for the tournament.
• Lander as a team shot 837 (275+289+283) at the Spring Kickoff.
• The Bearcats finished sixth in last season's iteration of the Invitational.
• Legros placed 18th and shot a team-high even-par.
• Senior Conor Cull finished 35th with a three-over-par performance.
• Lander gets to stay home for the next tournament, as the Bearcats will host the Bearcat Classic beginning on March 8.
