Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's soccer falls 3-2 at Clayton State on Wednesday

MORROW, Ga. -  The Lander men's soccer team attempted a late comeback against Clayton State but fell 3-2 on the road.

Lander falls to 8-6-0 overall and 5-4-0 in the PBC while Clayton State moves to 7-6-2 overall and 6-3-1 in the PBC.

Clayton State scored the first goal of the game in the 29th minute of play before scoring in the 34th minute of action to make it 2-0.

The Lakers attempted five shots with three going on target while Lander put up five shots with none going on goal.

Clayton State was first to score in the second half, as the Lakers put away their third goal of the game in the 62nd minute of play.

Tom Marriott got Lander on the board in the 66th minute of action with a successful penalty kick to make It 3-1.

Max McNulty was next to score for the Bearcats, launching a well-placed strike to make it 3-2 in the 67th minute of play with Marriot and Liam Doyle credited with assists.

Lander hits the road once more, as it travels to Georgia Southwestern on Saturday for the final road game in the regular season.
