GREENWOOD – The Lander men's soccer team makes it's second to last road trip of the regular season with a trip to Clayton State on Wednesday.

STORYLINES
- The Bearcats are looking to rebound after losing to No. 4 Young Harris 4-1 at home on October 16.
- Down 2-0, Max McNulty received a cross from Kevin Rubaszewski and sent a long-distance shot that hit the crossbar and bounced in to make it a 2-1 contest in the 66th minute.
- Appearing in 11 games this season, McNulty is second on the team in goals with nine and points with 20.
- Tom Marriott continues to lead the Bearcats in goals (12) and points (32). He's tied with Marco Gueli for the team lead in assists with eight.
- Rubaszewski recorded his sixth assist on the season and is now up to 14 points.
- Gueli, along with his eight assists has three goals and is tied with Rubaszewski in points.
- A win for the Bearcats on Wednesday will put the Blue and Gold in second place. Lander will also hold the head-to-head tiebreaker with a victory at Clayton State.
- The last time these two teams met, the Bearcats won 4-0 at Van Taylor Stadium.
- Max Bolton scored two goals while Marriott and Rubaszewski scored the other two.
- Gueli was credited with three assists against the Lakers in the previous match.
- Since losing 2-0 on October 11, 2014, Lander has outscored Clayton State 31-5.
- Wednesday will feature the No. 2 and 3 scoring offenses in the Peach Belt. Lander is second with 34 goals while Clayton State is third with 29.
- The Bearcats and Lakers are tied for second in the PBC for first-half goals scored with eight.
- Marriott continues to be ranked in the top three in goals scored. He's currently second in the PBC with 12 goals.
- Marriott and Gueli are tied for second in the PBC in assists.
- Lander continues to be ranked in the top-20 nationally in numerous categories. The Bearcats are currently 8th in assists per game, 14th in points per game, 18th in scoring offense, fifth in total assists, 11th in total goals and 10th in total points.
- Clayton State most recently lost to Flagler 2-1 on October 16.
- The Lakers hold a 5-3-0 record at home this season.
- After their match with the Bearcats, the Lakers will go on the road to USC Aiken and Young Harris to close out the season.
- The Lakers are led by Langston Blackstock and Alexis Iturria in scoring. Both of them have six goals this season for Clayton State.
- Geo Rios leads the Lakers in points with 20. He also leads the squad in assists with 10 on the season and has five goals as well.
- Theo Blachon has played all 14 games in net for the Lakers. He's allowed 25 goals with a GAA of 1.70. Making 50 saves, he holds a 6-6-2 record.
