GREENWOOD – After having last Saturday off, the Lander men's soccer team is back in action with a trip to Aiken on Wednesday.

STORYLINES
- Last time out the Bearcats came away with a 2-1 win in double-overtime at Flagler.
- Kevin Rubaszewski and Tom Marriott were the goal scorers for the Bearcats.
- Jacob Withers picked up his second win of the season after making six saves against the Saints.
- Withers is also closing in on 50 games played as a Bearcat. The veteran keeper has been featured in 43 games in his career.
- Lander is now 12-5-2 all-time against Flagler with the win and is 8-2-0 in the last 10 meetings.
- Lander is currently in third place in the PBC, trailing Clayton State by just one point. The Lakers have also played one more game compared to the Bearcats this season.
- Through 11 games this season, Marriott has recorded 29 points. Those 29 points are the most recorded by a Bearcat since 2013 when Clement Dauchy recorded 38. The most individual points recorded by a Bearcat since 2000 is 46 by Luke Ibbetson in 2003.
- Marriott leads the team in goals (11) and points (29).
- Marco Gueli leads the way in assists with eight. He's one of four Bearcats to have 10 or more points this season. Along with Marriott, Max McNulty and Rubaszewski join the ranks.
- Lander leads the PBC in assists per game (2.91), points per game (8.55), shots per game (16.64), shots on goal (8.00), total points (94) and total assists (32). Lander is tied with Young Harris for the conference lead in total goals (31) and scoring offense (2.82).
- The Bearcats are top-10 in the nation in total assists (5th), points per game (5th), scoring offense (t-9th), total assists (3rd), total goals (t-6th) and total points (5th).
- The Bearcats have allowed the third-fewest goals in the PBC with 16 conceded. USC Aiken leads the conference in allowed goals with 32. The Pacers also have the fewest goals scored so far in the PBC with just seven.
- Lander also has the second-highest scoring margin in the PBC at 1.37. Young Harris leads the PBC with a scoring Margin of 2.27.
- Marriott is currently second in the PBC and tied for fifth in the nation with his 11 goals. Matteo Costa of Flagler leads the PBC with 12 and is tied for second in the nation.
- Marriot's 29 points trail just Rade Novakovich's 30 points from Wisconsin Parkside.
- Gueli is eighth in the nation with 0.73 assists per game and tied for second in the nation with his eight assists on the season.
- The last time these two teams met the Bearcats defeated USC Aiken 6-0. McNulty and Gueli both had two-goal nights with Marriott and Charlie Curtis scoring the other two goals.
- The Pacers come into this contest 1-9-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the PBC.
- After starting the season with a 3-1 non-conference win over Newberry, USC Aiken has lost its last nine games. In that span, the Pacers have been outscored 28-4.
- Jaymee Kambel leads the Pacers with four of their seven goals on the season. Three other Pacers have scored this season.
- Felipe Cerda and Joey Valenti have both seen plenty of action in goal for the Pacers. Cerda has played in six games and started four. He's allowed 14 goals and made 27 saves with a 0-4-0 record. Valenti has played in eight games while making six starts. He's allowed 18 goals while making 24 saves. He has a 1-3-0 record on the season.
