GREENWOOD – The Lander softball team rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to play to a 4-4 tie with Concord on Sunday morning at Doug Spears Field in the final game of the Bearcat/Fleet Invitational.

Lander (6-1-1) trailed Concord (3-2-1) 3-0 in the fourth inning before Haven Pesce singled home Morgan Watson to put the Bearcats on the board. In the bottom of the fifth, Logan Coward plated Jenelle Figueroa with an RBI single and Watson doubled home two Bearcats to put Lander up 4-3. Concord scratched out the game-tying run in the sixth before the game was called due to inclement weather with one out in the top of the seventh. 

The Bearcats host Lenoir-Rhyne in a doubleheader on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
