Box Score DAHLONEGA, GA. – The Lander men's basketball team faltered late in falling to North Georgia, 85-77, Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.
Lander falls to 17-7, 11-5 PBC, while North Georgia improves to 13-11, 8-8 PBC.
Sidney Robinson led the Bearcats with 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting and added nine assists, two rebounds, one steal, and one block.
Lander would play a solid first half as North Georgia could not figure it out on both sides of the ball. The Bearcats would take a 48-35 lead into the break.
The Bearcats led 65-63 with 6:42 to go after, but the Nighthawks would go on a 22-12 run to close the game out.
Lander would attempt to make a comeback, but North Georgia would use free throws to seal the game.
KJ Jenkins came off the bench and led the Nighthawks with 23 points while Zach Brown added 15 points off-the-bench as well.
The Bearcats return to action Wednesday night when it hosts Flagler at 7:30 p.m. inside Finis Horne Arena.
