LU is now 30-5 and set a new program record with its 30th win when they beat top-seeded Nova Southeastern 91-81 in the National Semifinals. The Blue and Gold also won 17 conference games during the regular season to set another program record during a watermark season.
Gannon sits at 33-3 entering Sunday's matchup with its last five wins all coming during the tournament. They defeated No. 7 Oklahoma Baptist 98-80 on Friday to advance to the title game.
GU topped the PSAC West during the regular season before falling to California (Pa.) in the PSAC Tournament championship game earlier this month – a team who is responsible for two of their three losses. The Golden Knights won the Atlantic Region championship during their NCAA Tournament run.
