No. 6 Lander opens season at No. 19 Valdosta State

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 6-ranked Lander men's tennis team begins the 2020 campaign at No. 19 Valdosta State on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

STORYLINES

• Lander is coming off a 18-6 mark in 2019 and its seventh consecutive trip to the NCAA Southeast Regional final.

• The Bearcats have made the NCAA Tournament in 25 of the last 26 seasons.

• Axel Cronje and Adam Elliget were both tabbed as preseason all-Peach Belt Conference selections.

• The duo earned All-American status last year and rose to No. 3 in the national doubles rankings

• Lander will play its first three events of the season away from the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

• The Bearcats went 11-4 in non-conference matches last season.
