BELMONT, N.C. – The Lander volleyball team responded from a five-set loss to Belmont Abbey to earn a sweep of Winston-Salem at the Belmont Abbey Invite on Saturday.

Lander (9-2) suffered a loss to the Crusaders (2-9) in the first match of the day, but answered with a victory over the Rams (1-3). 11 different Bearcats registered kills in the win, led by 10 from Deona Mims. Madilyn Reed and Maddie Moss notched 18 and 16 assists, respectively. Hanna McManus finished with 10 digs in the win. 

The Bearcats return to action Tuesday night as Lander travels to Emmanuel for a 7:00 p.m. match.
