DUE WEST, S.C. – The Lander women's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory over rival Erskine Wednesday afternoon behind wins from its top three singles players. 

Lander (5-9) got off to a 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point with victories at No. 1 from Eduarda Ferreira and Isabella Schulz, 6-2, and Nelli Lius and Lindsey Wiggins, 7-5, at No. 2. 

The top of the Bearcat lineup took care of business against the Flying Fleet (2-8), as Ferreira nabbed a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1. Schulz picked up a point at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-2, and Lius earned a default point at the No. 3 spot. Manasi Ramadani also earned a victory at No. 6, 6-4, 6-2.  

Head coach Samantha Pinchoff's bunch resumes action Friday, as the Bearcats travel to Augusta for a Peach Belt Conference match against the Jaguars.
