GAFFNEY, S.C. – The No. 8-ranked Lander men's tennis team moved its winning streak to three on Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 sweep of Limestone.
Lander (8-2) started the day strong as all three Bearcat doubles teams won, giving Lander the doubles point over the Saints (2-5). Eirik Groner and Gabriel Couto highlighted Lander's doubles performance with a 6-0 victory at the No. 2 spot.
The Bearcats kept things rolling in singles action, earning three straight-set wins to complete the victory. Axel Cronje picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2, Couto dominated en route to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the No. 4 spot, and Thomas De Negri notched a 6-1, 6-4 win in the No. 6 position.
Lander is back in action Sunday afternoon for a Peach Belt Conference match against No. 15-ranked Flagler.
