Lander finishes third, Hardee ties for first at shortened Cutter Creek Invitational

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Lander women's golf team finished third at the Cutter Creek Invitational after the second round on Tuesday was rained out. Caroline Hardee tied for first in her collegiate debut as the Bearcats placed three players in the top-10.  

First round results were used and Barton's Kate Hawkins was awarded medalist honors over Hardee in a scorecard playoff. 

Hardee shot a four-over par 76, while Hannah Fesperman finished with a seven-over par 79 to tie for seventh place. Hannah Stephenson carded an eight-over par 80, tying for 10th place. 

Madison Jordan tied for 13th with a nine-over par 81, Tatum Warr finished with a 12-over par 84 to tie for 18th and Grace Zoller placed 27th with a 17-over par 89.

Mount Olive won the team title, followed by Barton and Lander. 

The Bearcats will compete at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C., on Oct. 8-9.
