AUGUSTA, Ga. – Lander Women's Golf took home the bulk of the hardware given out by the Peach Belt Conference today in their postseason awards announcement:

Coach Mark Riddle was named Coach of the Year for the third time, Kajsa Lindqvist was named Player of the Year for the first time and Isabel Ewers earned the conference's Elite Eighteen Academic Award.

Additionally, Lindqvist was named to the First Team All-Conference while Ewers was named to the Second Team All-Conference alongside Sakurako Tanaka.

Lindqvist joins Teresa Caballer Hernani (2012-13) as just the second Bearcat to be named Player of the Year. Ranked ninth in the country, Lindqvist also etched her name in the PBC record book by becoming the seventh player to be named All-Conference all four years of her collegiate career.

Lindqvist garnered all of this recognition because of her stellar play this season that included one tournament win, two runner-up finishes, six top-fives, eight top-10s and five PBC Player of the Week awards.

She will look to keep a year's worth of positive momentum going in the PBC Tournament this weekend (April 19-21) that will be contested at The King & Bear Golf Course in St. Augustine.

Tanaka grabbed her third All-Conference honor – she was Second Team in 2023 and First Team last year. Peaking at the right time, Tanaka has posted back-to-back top-fives and has finished in the top-10 of four tournaments this season. She was named PBC Player of the Week on Oct. 13.

Ewers, a junior, earned her first All-Conference nod. Ewers posted two top-fives and three top-10s over the course of the season. She has finishes of 10th and fourth in her last two tournaments.

Ewers is currently carrying a 3.97 GPA as a Business Administration major which helped her earn the Elite Eighteen Award presented at each of the PBC's 18 championships to the student-athlete competing with the highest cumulative GPA.
