TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Lander women's tennis team used a dominant team effort to post a 9-0 victory over North Greenville on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference match.
Lander (6-9), which blanked Limestone 6-0 on Monday, recorded back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 2011, while handing North Greenville (2-12) its third consecutive defeat.
The Bearcats picked up three points in doubles action and dispatched the Crusaders quickly in singles play, as Lander surrendered just seven games. Eduarda Ferreira, Lindsey Wiggins and Isabella Schulz each delivered 6-0, 6-0 wins at the No. 1, 4 and 5 spots.
Lander returns to the Joe Cabri Tennis Center Thursday afternoon for a 2:30 p.m. match against Salem International.
