No. 3 Bearcats topple No. 25 Georgia College for 13th straight win

GREENWOOD – The No. 3-ranked Lander men's tennis team extended its winning streak to 13 matches on Tuesday as the Bearcats knocked off No. 25 Georgia College, 6-3, at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center. 

Lander (18-2, 8-1 PBC) secured a second-place finish in the conference as the win over the Bobcats (10-7, 5-2 PBC) marked Lander's fourth win over a top-25 team this season.

The Bearcats swept doubles action for the sixth consecutive match and held off Georgia College as the two teams split singles action, with Axel Cronje, Philippe Courteau and Gabriel Couto picking up win at No. 3, 5 and 6.

Lander will have a 10-day layoff before heading to Florence for the eight-team, single-elimination Peach Belt Conference Tournament.
