No. 2 Bearcats down Limestone for 10th straight win

GREENWOOD – The No. 2-ranked Lander men's tennis team won its 10th consecutive match on Saturday afternoon as the Bearcats knocked off Limestone 8-1 at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center. 

Lander (15-2) swept through doubles play for the third straight match, highlighted by an 8-1 win by Alexander Regner and Omar El-Moslemany at the No. 3 spot to put Limestone (8-4) down early. 

With a 3-0 lead, the Bearcats won five of six singles points to claim the match. Philippe Courteau rallied from a set down to earn a point at No. 4 and Gabriel Balestero used a dominant first set to take a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 6. 

Lander travels to North Greenville for a non-conference match on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
