GREENWOOD – The Auburn Montomgery women's tennis team dealt Lander its third loss of the season Saturday afternoon when it defeated the Bearcats, 8-1, in a non-conference match at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

AUM improves to 7-1 overall, while Lander moves to 4-3.

In singles, No. 1 Kelly Southwood (AUM) def. Yuriko Ono (LU) 6-1, 6-1; No. 2 Paula Diaz (AUM) def. Ivanka Mocic (LU) 6-4, 6-3; No. 3 Iris Verweij (AUM) def. Caroline Yodice (LU) 6-0, 6-1; No. 4 Nelli Lius (LU) def. Celine Lenertz (AUM) 6-4, 6-1; No. 5 Alejandra Gil (AUM) def. Julia Suzuki (LU) 6-1, 6-4; and No. 6 Anna Rudolfova (AUM) def. Lucia Ric (LU) 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, No. 1 Rudolfova/Diaz (AUM) def. Yodice/Suzuki (LU) 8-1; No. 2 Lenertz/Southwood (AUM) def. Ono/Lius (LU) 8-4; and No. 3 Gil/Verweij (AUM) def. Mocic/Isabella Schulz (LU) 8-6.
