The Saints took their largest lead of the game at the 4:48 mark of the fourth quarter, when a Roberts' layup gave Flagler a 55-50 lead. McKenith answered with four consecutive points to cut the deficit to one, then stole the ball and found Jessica Harris for a go-ahead layup with 3:20 to play. Another McKenith steal on the next possession led to a layup for Reynolds, extending Lander's lead to 59-55 with 2:51 to go.

A trio of free throws from McKenith and Dailey put Lander up 62-55 with just 1:56 remaining, but a furious 10-4 run from the Saints cut the Bearcat lead to 66-65 with 16 seconds left in the game.

After a foul, Harris swished a pair of free throws to put Lander up 68-65 and Reynolds stole the ball on Flagler's ensuing possession. The Saints were forced to foul and Reynold knocked down a free throw to put the game away.
