AMERICUS, Ga. – The Lander women's tennis team recorded its first shut out of the season Saturday afternoon as the Bearcats blanked Georgia Southwestern, 9-0, in a Peach Belt Conference match at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex.
Lander, which improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the PBC, will next host Francis Marion at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 3. The Hurricanes drop to 3-5, (0-2).

Hannah Ayers (GSW) 6-3, 6-1; No. 4 Nelli Lius (LU) def. Charli Allen (GSW) 6-1, 6-2; No. 5 Julia Suzuki (LU) def. Anneliese Leahy (GSW) 6-0, 6-2; and No. 6 Isabella Schulz (L) def. Kendall Crew (GSW) 6-3, 3-6, 10-2.
