STORYLINES

• Lander (2-4) is coming off a pair of wins over Albany State at the Cougar Classic. 

• The Bearcats are 6-10 all-time against Wingate, but have won the last two contests against the Bulldogs. 

• Lander has not hosted Wingate since 2010. 

• Freshman outfielder Logan Leverette made three starts during the Cougar Classic, batting. 429 with a home run and three walks. 

• Junior McKenzi Ferguson earned his first win of the season by striking out seven in a complete-game shutout against Albany State on Saturday. 

• Over a quarter of Lander's hits this season have been for extra bases. Of their 28 hits on the year, the Bearcats have launched four home runs, three doubles and one triple.

• Lander is averaging drawing two walks per game and Bearcat hitters have been hit by pitch four times this season.
