GREENWOOD – An impressive outing on Tuesday from Lander senior Mylea McKenith led to Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week honors.
 
McKenith scored 25 points and added three rebounds, three steals and two assists as the Bearcats upset No. 6 Wingate, 81-76. The Durham, N.C., knocked down eight of her 10 shots from the floor and was a perfect eight-for-eight from the free throw line. Monday's honor was the first of McKenith's career as a Bearcat.
 
The No. 24-ranked Bearcats (3-1) return to action tonight as they host Georgia College in the first Peach Belt Conference contest of the season The meeting is slated for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
