Pembroke, N.C. – The Lander volleyball team (13-7, 3-4 PBC) will complete its weekend by battling UNC Pembroke (4-19, 0-7 PBC) on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Lumby Guaranty Bank Court.

STORYLINES:

• Lander defeated UNC Pembroke 3-0 on Sept. 15 at Horne Arena. The Bearcats surrendered just seven points to the Braves in the match's final set. 

• The Bearcats lead the overall series 26-14 and have won the last 11 meetings. 

• UNC Pembroke is trying to snap a 27-match losing streak in conference play. UNCP's last PBC win came on Nov. 11, 2015, against Francis Marion. 

• Lander held off Francis Marion on Friday night, earning a 3-2 victory for its third consecutive.

• Four different Bearcats recorded double-digit kills in the win over FMU. Kirstin Martindale led the team with 16, Hannah Hritz and Reilly Kuenstler each recorded 12 and Reyonia Whipple finished with 10.
