GREENWOOD – Lander's Hannah McManus, a freshman libero from Boiling Springs, S.C., was named the Peach Belt Conference Specialist of the Week it was announced by the league office today.

McManus averaged 6.86 digs per set as the Bearcats opened PBC play with two wins to improve to 10-0 on the season. The freshman was impressive in her league debut against Francis Marion, collecting 34 digs, five assists and three aces. The 34 digs is the most in a single match in the PBC this season and tied for ninth in all of DII (4-set matches). She had 14 digs in a three-set sweep of UNC Pembroke with another assist and another ace. McManus is ninth in the PBC in digs per set overall, but tops the PBC in conference-only matches. She is also third in aces per set and second in total aces.
