GREENWOOD - The Lander women's tennis team claimed two doubles matches and four singles Thursday afternoon en route to a 6-3 non-conference victory over Limestone College at The Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
Lander evens its record at 5-5, while Limestone drops to 4-5.
In singles, No. 1 Yuriko Ono (L) def. Manon Janin (LIME) 7-6, 6-2; No. 2 Ivanka Mocic (L) def. Alexandra Boulbin (LIME) 6-3, 2-6, 6-1; No. 3 Caroline Yodice (L) def. Marian Pinate (LIME) 3-6, 7-5, 12-10; No. 4 Anni Poikola (L) def. Ana Chirila (LIME) 6-1, 6-2; No. 5 Hannah Hopkins (LIME) def. Lauren French (L) 6-3, 6-4; and No. 6 Gabriela Ooststroom (LIME) def. Renata Mello (L) 6-2, 6-3.
In doubles, No. 1 Maggie Elliott/Ivanka Mocic (L) def. Marian Pinate/Hannah Hopkins (LIME) 8-4; No. 2 Yuriko Ono/Anni Poikola (L) def. Alexandra Boulbin/Gabriela Ooststroom (LIME) 8-3; and No. 3 Manon Janin/Kayla Meermans (LIME) def. Renata Mello/Lauren French (L) 8-6.
Lander will next host USC Aiken at 1 p.m., Sunday, in a Peach Belt Conference match.
