Box Score FLORENCE, S.C. - The Lander men's basketball team saw its four-game win streak come to an end Wednesday night when the Bearcats fell to Francis Marion, 71-54, in a Peach Belt Conference game at the Smith University Center.
FMU improves to 14-8 overall and 6-7 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 16-6, 10-3.
JR Washington led the Lander attack by scoring 19 points, while Tobiasz Hose added 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
Mike Davis led FMU with a game-high 24 points and five rebounds, while Detrek Browning had 18 points, and Alante Fenner 14 points and six rebounds. Judah Alexander chipped in nine rebounds.
Lander connected on 18-of-60 field goals (30 percent), including 6-of-22 threes (27.3 percent), and 12-of-18 foul shots (66.7 percent).
The Patriots, who led 43-19 at halftime, were 29-of-65 from the floor (44.6 percent), including 10-of-28 from the three-point line (35.7 percent), and 3-of-4 from the free throw line (75 percent).
Lander will next travel to USC Aiken, where it will face the Pacers in a PBC contest at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, in The Convocation Center.
