AIKEN, S.C. – The Lander men's soccer team recorded its second consecutive shutout against a conference opponent on Sunday afternoon as the Bearcats defeated USC Aiken, 4-0.

Lander improves to 7-3 on the season and 5-0 in the Peach Belt Conference, while the Pacers fall to 2-8, (1-3).

Jordan Skelton gave the Bearcats a 1-0 lead off a corner kick from Jamie North at 16:53. The goal was the first of Skelton's career.

The Bearcats extended the lead to 2-0 when Conor Felstead scored on a rebound off Richard Bryan's shot at the 19:41 mark. 

Jamie Lunn capped the scoring for Lander with a header at 72:49 and another goal at 75:10 to end the day. 

The Bearcats led USC Aiken 17-8 in shots and 6-4 in corner kicks. 

Lander's Dean Cowdroy had four saves, while USC Aiken's Orlando Maldovan had five.

The Bearcats' next match will come on Oct. 11 at home against Mars Hill.
