GREENWOOD – The Lander volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Montevallo, 3-2, in a Peach Belt Conference match on Saturday afternoon in Horne Arena. The Bearcat topped the Falcons, 25-14, 22-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Lander moves to 13-4 overall and 5-4 in the PBC, while Montevallo falls to 9-9, (3-6).

Lander was led by Sophia Perkins, who recorded a double-double with career highs of 35 assists and 21 digs. Halle Dotson registered 24 kills and Khiani Kelly added 19. Hannah McManus registered a team-high 23 digs, while Katie Haake posted 21 assists.

Montevallo was paced by Kristy Bohan (20 kills), Nicolett Fiessinger (23 digs), Grace Harris (23 digs) and Hannah Christie (44 assists).
