GREENWOOD - Logan Lewis scored the lone goal of the game Wednesday night to lead the Lander women's soccer team to a 1-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over USC Aiken at Van Taylor Stadium.

Lander improves to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the PBC, while USC Aiken drops to 1-7, 1-3. The Bearcats will next host the University of Montevallo in a PBC contest at 1 p.m., Saturday.

Logan's unassisted goal came just 10:43 into the contest when she entered the box from the right side and fired the ball past the USCA goalkeeper into the left corner. It was Logan's sixth goal of the season.

Lander outshot the Pacers, 12-11, but the USCA led in corner kicks, 11-2.

Megan Wiley and Shannon DeSantis split the goalkeeper duties for the Bearcats and collected two saves each. USCA's Nicole Cranny had four saves.
