Box Score TIGERVILLE, S.C. - Three different players had goals Wednesday night to lead the Lander women's soccer team to a 3-1 non-conference victory over North Greenville University.
Lander improves to 2-2 overall, while the Crusaders drop to 2-2. Lander next travel to Americus, Ga. this Saturday where it will open Peach Belt Conference play at 1 p.m. at Georgia Southwestern.
The Bearcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Sara Flores' unassisted goal at 14:09. It was Flores' second goal of the year.
The Crusaders bounced back and tied the game at 44:33 after Lindsay Tuten fired in her third score of the season, also unassisted.
Lander regained the lead at 55:29 when Logan Lewis scored off a pass from Fayla Junior. It was Lewis' second score of the season.
Kayla Walker added an insurance goal for the Bearcats with 3:16 remaining to play to make it 3-1.
Lander outshot the Crusaders, 11-3, and led in corner kicks, 8-2.
UNG goalkeeper Madelynn Schober registered six saves, while Lander's Megan Wiley had one.
