BREVARD, N.C. - The Lander men's soccer team remained unbeaten Saturday afternoon when the Bearcats blanked Brevard College, 2-0, in a non-conference game at the Brevard Soccer Field.

The Bearcats improve to 3-0 overall, while Brevard sinks to 0-4.

Sinclaire Sandy gave the Bearcats a 1-0 lead at 29:44 when he fired a shot in from the close right side.

Lander stretched its lead to 2-0 on Ianis Ghachem's goal from the top of the box off an assist from Hugo Delhommelle at 47:34.

Lander outshot the Tornados, 12-11, but Brevard led in corner kicks, 6-2.

Barrett Nielsen totaled three saves in goal for the Bearcats, while Brevard's Heath Turner had four.

Lander will next host North Greenville at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Van Taylor Stadium.
