PEMBROKE, N.C. - The UNC Pembroke men's basketball team placed five players in double figures Wednesday night en route to a 69-56 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander at the English E. Jones Center.

Lander moves to 16-7 overall and 8-7 in the PBC, while UNCP improves to 20-4, 11-4.

Kiair Crouch led the Lander attack with 13 points and four assists, while Tobiasz Hose added 12 points. Ricardo Martin chipped in eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.

The Bearcats connected on 21-of-61 field goals (34.4 percent), including 4-of-17 threes (23.5 percent), and 10-of-13 free throws (76.9 percent).

Quamain Rose led UNCP with a game-high 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Ben Jacobs added 11 points and 10 rebounds, Griffin Pittman 11 points, Brandon Watts 10 points and six rebounds, and Keysheen Hinton 10 points.

The Braves, who outrebounded Lander, 53-21, were 28-of-68 from the floor (41.2 percent), including 6-of-14 from the three-point line (42. percent), and 7-of-12 from the free throw line (58.3 percent).

Lander took the early lead at 15-8 on a Crouch jumper after six minutes of play, but UNCP rallied to take a 23-22 advantage with 7:10 left to play in the half on a Brandon Winford field goal.

The Braves maintained the lead throughout the remainder of the first half and held a 29-28 halftime advantage.

After two lead changes and a tie in the second half, the Braves when on a 13-0 run to post a 47-34 lead and led the remainder of the game.
