Box Score PEMBROKE, N.C. - Courtney Crump netted an unassisted goal in the 73rd minute Wednesday evening to lead the UNC Pembroke women's soccer team to a 2-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander.
Lander evened its record at 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the PBC, while the Braves improve to 5-4, 4-1. The Bearcats will next host Clayton State at 1 p.m., Saturday, in a PBC contest at Van Taylor Stadium.
Armani Boswell gave the host Braves a 1-0 lead at 64:56 on an unassisted shot to the far post.
Lander came back at 69:20 to tie the game on Alexis Rogers direct kick from 20 yards out. The goal was Rogers' sixth of the season.
Crump's game winner came at 73:59.
UNCP outshot Lander, 17-12, but Lander led in corner kicks, 2-1.
Lander goalkeeper Shannon DeSantis grabbed four saves, while the Braves' Janae Aiken had three.
