Box Score 2 MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The Lander volleyball team split its games Saturday at the University of Montevallo, falling to the host Falcons, 3-0, in a PBC contest, then defeating Stillman College, 3-0, in a non-conference match.
The Bearcats move to 14-4 on the season and will host UNC Pembroke at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Horne Arena.
Montevallo downed Lander, 25-22, 25-21, 25-18, then the Bearcats shut out Stillman, 25-7, 25-8, 25-17.
Against Montevallo, Khiani Kelly and Halle Dotson had 10 and nine kills respectively for the Bearcats, while Ali Kirk posted 23 assists and Julia Ferreira-Alves 20 digs.
Montevallo was paced by Breana Thomas (18 kills), Kristy Bohan (15 kills), Briana Marquez (48 assists), Carissa Bell (17 digs), and Nicole Holton (12 digs).
Against Stillman, Dotson totaled 10 kills, Sophia Perkins 22 assists, Kirk 14 assists, Ferreira-Alves 14 digs, and Kendall Korte 10 digs.
Stillman was led by Shundasia Lewis-Brooks (seven kills, eight digs) and Kendra Ramos (15 assists).
