GREENWOOD - The Lander volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season Wednesday night when the Bearcats fell to USC Aiken, 3-0, in a Peach Belt Conference match in Horne Arena. Games scores were: 25-19, 25-23, 25-20.

USCA improves to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 10-1, 1-1. The previously unbeaten Bearcats set a school-record with a 10-0 start.

Lander's Kaitlyn Harrison posted a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs, while Sydney Tracy had 11 kills, Jessica Register 31 assists and eight digs, Julia Ferreira-Alves 19 digs, and Kendall Korte 11 digs and eight kills.

The Pacers were led Taylor Stratton (14 kills), Ashley Diedrich (12 kills, 20 digs), Sheila Walsh (40 assists, 13 digs), Monica Cardona (15 digs), and Shawn Hotson (14 digs).

Lander will next host PBC foe Georgia College at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26, in Horne Arena.
