AIKEN - The seventh-ranked Lander men's tennis team earned its fifth shutout of the season Sunday when the Bearcats claimed a 9-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over No. 13 USC Aiken.

Lander improves to 11-3 overall and 6-1 in the PBC, while USCA drops to 8-5, 1-4.

Andy Quirk (USCA) 7-5, 7-5; No. 4 Ristomatti Lanne (L) def. Patrick Stiebinger (USCA) 7-6, 6-0; No. 5 Niklas Terhorst (L) def. Lucas Gobbi (USCA) 7-5, 6-1; and No. 6 Diego Zegarra (L) def. Felix Zahn (USCA) 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, No. 1 Adam Jonsson/Oscar Axelsson (L) def. Alejandro Andino/Patrick Stiebinger (USCA) 9-8; No. 2 Vincent Verpeaux/Niklas Terhorst (L) def. Ettore Damiani/Lucas Gobbi (USCA) 8-2; and No. 3 Marc Hofer/Samuel Poutignat (L) def. Andy Quirk/Ronan Reberac (USCA) 8-6.
