Box Score MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Kayla West led three Lander players in double figures Wednesday night as the Lady Bearcats fell to Georgia College, 73-66, in a Peach Belt Conference game in the Centennial Center.
Georgia College improves to 16-9 overall and 9-9 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 11-16, 6-12.
West netted 21 points, while Ty'heshia Reynolds scored 15 points, and Alexis Armstrong had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Enisha Donley led GC with a game-high 24 points, while Shanteona Keys added 23 points and 10 rebounds and Brandi McKinney 15 points.
The Lady Bearcats connected on 26-of-63 field goals (41.3 percent), including 10-of-26 three pointers (38.5 percent), and 4-of-7 foul shots (57.1 percent).
Georgia College was 27-of-52 from the floor (51.9 percent), including 5-of-11 three pointers (45.5 percent), and 14-of-18 free throws (77.8 percent).
The tightly contested game was tied 14 times, the last at 62-all with 4:43 left in the game, before the Lady Bobcats began to pull away.
