MORROW, Ga. – The Lander women's tennis team upset No. 46 Clayton State, 6-3, in a Peach Belt Conference match Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated.
Lander improves to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the PBC. Clayton State drops to 1-7, 0-3.
In singles, No. 1 Carolina Lainez (L) def. Zinnia Leamana (C) 7-5, 6-0; No. 2 Raluca Pavel (C) def. Marion Courbis (L) 7-5, 1-6, 10-8; No 3. Tiffany Vanhpraseuth (L) def. Martina Dedaj (C) 6-1, 6-2; No. 4 Alyssa Savill (L) def. Kristiin Mets (C) 6-4, 6-2; No. 5 Darina Drozdova (C) def. Cayce Bradley (L) 6-4, 7-6; and No. 6 Ivanka Mocic (L) won by by forfeit.
