Box Score PEMBROKE, N.C. - Rae-Shawna Campbell scored two goals Tuesday night to lead the fourth-seeded UNC Pembroke women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over fifth-seeded Lander in the quarterfinal round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.
UNCP improves to 11-4-3, while Lander drops to 8-3-4.
The Braves took a 1-0 lead at 36:13 when Campbell scored her first goal off an assist from Amber Watkins.
Campbell and Watkins teamed up again at 80:07 for the Braves' final score and the right to advance to Friday's semifinal round in Evans, Ga. UNCP will play top-seeded Columbus State, a 5-0 winner over No. 8 USC Aiken, at 5 p.m. at Blanchard Woods Park.
UNCP outshot Lander, 15-8, but the Bearcats led in corner kicks, 5-1.
Lander goalkeeper Katie Lyle was credited with seven saves in goal, while the Braves' Janae Aiken had three.
