Box Score JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Aarika Judge scored 19 points Saturday afternoon to lead the Lander women's basketball team in a 76-72 non-conference loss to Lincoln Memorial University at the Carson-Newman Invitational.
LMU kicks off the season at 1-0, while Lander is 0-1. The Lady Bearcats will face host Carson-Newman at 3 p.m., Sunday.
Judge connected on 6-of-17 field goals, including 4-of-11 threes, and 3-of-3 free throws. Ty'hesha Reynolds chipped in nine point and five assists, Bre Crum and Kayla West added eight points each, and Brianna Gipson led the Bearcats in rebounds with five.
Kiara Rawls netted a game-high 24 points and dished off eight assists for the Lady Railsplitters, while Megan Pittman had 12 points and 14 rebounds, Aisjah Lee 11 points, and Stephanie Smith 10 points and 11 rebounds.
LMU, which outrebounded Lander, 62-27, connected on 31-of-68 field goals (45.6 percent), including 4-of-12 three pointers (33.3 percent), and 10-of-26 free throws (38.5 percent).
The Lady Bearcats made 26-of-71 floor shots (36.6 percent), including 8-of-25 threes (32 percent), and 12-of-16 foul shots (75 percent).
