MORROW, Ga. - Clayton State's Maria Marti Bartis netted the game-winning goal with 31 seconds left to play Saturday to lead the No. 20 Lakers women's soccer team to a 1-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander at Laker Field.

The Lakers improve to 12-1 overall and 7-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 4-2-3, 2-2-2.

The Lakers outshot the Bearcats, 15-12, but Lander led in corner kicks, 5-4.

Lander goalkeeper Katie Lyle tallied six saves, while Clayton State's Charlott McCormack had four.

The Bearcats will next host Anderson University at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15 in a non-conference game at Van Taylor Stadium.
