ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Lander volleyball team defeated Flagler College for the first time in 13 meetings Friday night as the Bearcats posted a 3-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over the Saints. Game scores were: 25-21, 22-25, 26-24, 16-25, and 15-6.

Lander improves to 13-4 overall and 3-4 in the PBC, while Flagler falls to 8-11, 3-6.

Kendall Korte had an impressive 21 kills to go along with 18 digs to lead the Bearcats, while Jessica Register added 48 assists, 23 digs and three service aces, Sydney Tracy 14 kills, Kate Schwartz nine kills, Sarah Bradley 28 digs and three service aces, Julia Ferreira-Alves 23 digs, and Kaitlyn Harrison 10 digs.

Flagler was led by Sara Davis (20 kills), Taja Valmyr (16 kills, 15 digs), Genel Sturgeon (15 kills), Amelia Morgan (55 assists, 20 digs), Ashley (20 digs), Amber Peone (20 digs), Caitlyn Kovach (19 digs), and Megan Hooks (11 digs).

Lander will next play at Armstrong in a 1 p.m. Peach Belt Conference game on Saturday, followed by a 3 p.m. non-conference game against Mount Olive.
