AIKEN – The No. 23-ranked Lander women's soccer team battled USC Aiken to a 1-1 Peach Belt Conference double-overtime tie Wednesday night at the Pacer Pit.

Lander moves to 4-0-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the PBC, while USCA goes to 3-5-2, 1-2-1.

USC Aiken took a quick 1-0 lead when Akeyla Furbert found the back of the net at 6:46 on an assist by Caroline Gillespie.

Lander forced the overtime at 1-1 on Alexis Rogers' unassisted goal at 50:42.

Pacer goalkeeper Nicole Cranny recorded six saves, while Lander's Katie Lyle had one.

The Lady Bearcats outshot USCA, 20-7, and led in corner kicks, 6-5.

Lander next travels to the University of Montevallo for a 2 p.m. PBC game on Saturday, Oct. 4
