GREENWOOD – The Lander volleyball team rallied from two sets down and forced a fifth set Saturday afternoon, but Francis Marion held on to claim a 3-2 Peach Belt Conference match at Horne Arena. Game scores were: 25-17, 28-26, 20-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Lander moves to 8-3 overall and 1-2 in the PBC, while Francis Marion improves to 7-1, 3-0.

Kaitlyn Harrison and Jessica Register led Lander with double-doubles. Harrison had 16 kills and 22 digs, while Register posted 57 assists and 27 digs. Tarryn Angermeier and Hannah Dederick added 14 kills each, Kendall Korte had 13 kills, Sarah Bradley 35 digs, Julia Ferreira-Alves 17 digs and Kiki Hennessey 12 digs.

Francis Marion was led by Alexzandra Reed (23 kills), Emily Sears (16 kills), Jessica Imbimbo (15 kills, 27 digs), Kailey Smith (59 assists, 21 digs), Rebekah Davis (32 digs) and Paige Perreault (16 digs).

Lander next host Lees-McRae in a non-conference game on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
