GREENWOOD – Taylor Piorkowski headed the ball in from point blank range Wednesday night to lead the Lander women's soccer team to a 1-0 overtime victory over Anderson in a non-conference game at the Jeff May Complex.

For Lander, which improves to 3-0 and has yet to be scored on this season, the overtime was the second in as many games. The Lady Bearcats improve to 3-0, while Anderson drops to 0-2.

Piorkowski's winning goal came at 98:39 on an assist from Erin Dooley.

Lander outshot the Lady Trojans, 17-1, and led in corner kicks, 5-1.

Anderson goalkeeper Kaitlyn Neipp registered five saves, while Lander's Katie Lyle had one.
