NEWBERRY – Clement Dauchy scored three goals Wednesday afternoon to lead the No. 15 Lander men's soccer team to a 6-0 non-conference victory over Newberry College.

Lander improves to 2-0 overall while Newberry drops to 0-3.

Dauchy headed in Lander's first goal at 14:54 off an assist from Brett Jankouskas. Kevin Durand then found the back of the net on a free kick at 38:35 to put the Bearcats up 2-0 at halftime.

Dauchy scored the first two goals of the second half (62:30 and 64:07), the first assisted by Durand and the second by Russell Parker.

Robert Seaton put Lander up 5-0 at 69:47 on an assist from Parker, then Chris Hobbs scored the Bearcats final goal at 89:46 on a free kick.

Lander outshot the Wolves, 20-11, and led in corner kicks, 6-3.

Barrett Nielsen totaled five saves for the Bearcats and Newberry's Nicholas Lucido had three.
