GREENWOOD - The Lander women's tennis team posted its third shutout of the season Saturday afternoon when the Lady Bearcats defeated North Greenville, 9-0, at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander ups its record to 8-7 overall, while North Greenville moves to 4-11.

In singles, No. 1 Carolina Lainez (LU) def. Susane Lenz (NGU) 7-5, 6-2; No. 2 Ainhoa Rico Martin (LU) def. Maggie Elliot (NGU) 6-0, 6-2; No. 3 Tiffany Vanhpraseuth (LU) def. Rebecca Beacham (NGU) 6-1, 6-2; No. 4 Cayce Bradley (LU) def. Aline Ribeiro (NGU) 6-1, 6-1; No. 5 Lori Flick (LU) def. Muriel Adib (NGU) 3-6, 6-2, 12-10; and No. 6 Renata Mello (LU) def. Haley Hardwick (NGU) 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, No. 1 Carolina Lainez/Cayce Bradley (LU) def. Susane Lenz/Maggie Elliot (NGU) 8-5; No. 2 Tiffany Vanhpraseuth/Ainhoa Rico Martin (LU) def. Muriel Adib/Aline Ribeiro (NGU) 8-0; and No. 3 Marion Courbis/Renata Mello (LU) def. Rebecca Beacham/Victoria Gomez (NGU) 8-2.
