FLORENCE – The eighth-seeded Lander women's tennis team saw its season come to an end Saturday morning when it lost to No. 32 Clayton State in the elimination round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.

Clayton State improves to 9-10 overall, while Lander finishes the season at 9-11.

In doubles, No. 1 Jessica Budd/Martina Dedaj (C) def. Tiffany Vanhpraseuth/Marion Courbis (L) 8-6; No. 2 Raluca Pavel/Zinnia Leamana (C) def. Aurelai Ruffat/Ainhoa Rico Martin (L) 8-6; and No. 3 Renata Mello/Cayce Bradley (L) won by default.

In singles, No. 1 Martina Dedaj (C) vs. Carolina Lainez (L) unfinished; No. 2 Zinnia Leamana (C) def. Marion Courbis (L) 6-1, 6-0; No. 3 Raluca Pavel (C) def. Ainhoa Rico Martin (L) 6-4, 6-0; No. 4 Charlotte Fabricius (C) def. Tiffany Vanhpraseuth (L) 6-4, 6-3; No. 5 Jessica Budd (C) vs. Cayce Bradley (L) unfinished; and No. 6 Aurelia Ruffat (L) won by default.
