SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Lander women's soccer team closed out the regular-season portion of its schedule Saturday when the Lady Bearcats fell to No. 17 Armstrong Atlantic, 2-0, in a Peach Belt Conference contest.

Armstrong Atlantic improves to 11-3-3 overall and 8-2-1 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 12-4, 8-3. The two teams will learn later today their schedules for next week's first-round PBC Tournament games.

AASU took a 1-0 lead at 39:41 after Mary Davis scored off a double-assist from Casey Dixon and Jessi Johnson.

The Pirates stretched the lead to 2-0 at 57:20 on a Taylor Valley goal, which was assisted by Candace Cosby.

AASU outshot Lander, 16-11, and led in corner kicks, 3-2.

Armstrong goalkeeper Morgan Luckie totaled eight saves, while Lander's Katie Lyle had four.
