GREENWOOD – Robert Seaton, Guillaume Pommett and Clement Dauchy all scored goals and goalkeeper Barrett Nielsen was awarded his sixth shutout of the season Saturday as the Lander men's soccer team claimed its regular-season finale by defeating Francis Marion, 3-0, in a Peach Belt Conference game at the Jeff May Complex.

Lander improves to 10-4-1 overall and 6-3 in the PBC, while Francis Marion slips to 8-4-4, 5-3-1. Lander will next host a first-round Peach Belt Conference tournament game on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The opponent and time will be announced later today.

Seaton gave Lander a 1-0 lead at 36:40 when he scored from in front of the goal off an assist from Dauchy. It was Seaton's fourth goal of the season.

The Bearcats extended the lead to 2-0 after Pommett netted his second score of the year on a header that was assisted by Kevin Durand at 39:04.

Dauchy found the back of the net for the 14th time this season at 63:58 when he landed Lander's final goal.

Lander outshot FMU, 22-7, and led in corner kicks, 10-2.

FMU goalkeeper Nick Stover grabbed 12 saves, while Lander's Nielsen had four.
